MERC Seminars
MERC routinely hosts online seminars (typically over Zoom) to share key findings from our research projects and invite perspectives from PK-12 educators and policymakers on a variety of topics pertinent to public schools. The seminars are always free to attend, but an RSVP is required. All attendees will receive a certificate of completion to be used towards continuing education credit.
USING DATA TO TRACK AND ENHANCE STUDENT RELATIONSHIPS

In this MERC seminar, we will explore the importance of building quality relationships with students and tracking those relationships over time. Participants will learn more about the "Go Green" initiative that helps school counselors track and enhance their relationships with students using data in Hanover County Public Schools. School counselors and central office leaders from HCPS will share about "Go Green," including stories about how it has impacted their work with students at the elementary, middle, and high school level. Presenters include:

Participants will receive resources and templates to help them track relationships in their caseload and will have an opportunity to share about their own strategies and resources for using data to enhance their work with students.
