Learn evidence-based strategies for supporting school transitions

THE NEWEST MERC REPORTS FOCUS ON SUPPORTING STUDENTS IN TRANSITION ACROSS PK-12 EDUCATION

The first report focuses on transitions into and out of elementary school and the second focuses on transitions into and out of high school. Middle school is touched on in both reports. MERC researchers analyzed peer reviewed literature, local data, and relevant policies to highlight challenges and considerations and offer evidence-based strategies related to supporting academic achievement as well as social and emotional development. Each report includes an executive summary and concludes with five key takeaways and recommendations for education policy and practice.
